He was transported to hospital followed by surgical repair for a broken right clavicle, with a small C7 vertebrae fracture. Implanted plate used in the clavicle repair. Gresini Racing stated he was conscious after the crash. Fabio Di Giannantonio took victory. He is expected to miss Mugello and Balaton races.
