About the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery - who we are
As part of the Duchy of Cornwall, our nursery has been under the stewardship of Prince Charles for many years. His environmental values influence our work.

Prince William visited the site in July 2023 to see the extension, glasshouse, and gardens. Revenue from the Duchy funds the Duke's public, private, and charitable activities. The nursery lies within the Duchy estate forming a key estate operation within Duchy lands that opened to the public in 1975. Growth over 50 years has expanded the site. It is widely regarded as one of the South West’s leading nurseries. The Duchy nursery continues to expand with garden center facilities while emphasizing nature-friendly horticulture.
