The discovery came after a routine audit of ad placements. India’s authorities said they will issue a notice to Meta, its corporate parent.
Specialists in child safety pushed for stricter rules and higher accountability for digital services. They insisted on live monitoring of ad content and tougher sanctions for violations.
State representatives noted they will assess current protections and explore new measures to prevent recurrence.
