Josh Worrell, Adelaide Crows forward, who is a promising player, was in a minor crash that happened Friday before training period for the scheduled Gold Coast match.
The accident hurt a involved pedestrian, who authorities then took to the hospital.
Worrell was not arrested at the scene of the incident.
Teammates told reporters on the sidelines Worrell seemed distressed after the crash.
