A plane from Air Canada skidded off the taxiway at Montreal-Trudeau Airport on July 10. It landed, before drifting onto the grass and settled off the runway. Officials closed the strip immediately. Nobody was injured during the incident, even though it felt rough.
That block closed takeoffs and landings for an extended period. Cleanup crews brought equipment to the site. Others examined the runway for damage. Later that day, aircraft were back in the air once the strip was back in service.
