Spencer Matthews has recorded a new marathon PB of 2:49, with Runner's World reporting his training was centred on science, numbers, and consistency. The result marks a strong performance for the British television personality who has become a serious endurance runner.

The time stands as a genuine benchmark in amateur marathon running, and his approach to training has drawn attention for its methodical nature. Rather than relying on guesswork or intuition, Matthews used a calculated and consistent training method.

Matthews is married to Vogue Williams, who has drawn coverage of her own this week after responding to critics. Those critics accused her of breaking maternity norms by going out with her one-month-old baby. Williams addressed the criticism directly.
