A trailer for "The Exorcist: Martyrs" made its debut Friday at New York Comic Con, with Scarlett Johansson playing a character tracking a demonic killer. The film is directed by Mike Flanagan and functions as both a continuation and a reimagining of the long-running horror franchise.

Flanagan says the project takes strong inspiration from "The Exorcist III" and describes it as the most unsettling project he has tackled. He told reporters the film was designed to feel dangerous and that it made him wildly uncomfortable during production.
