Stage six concluded on the steep Tourmalet climb. Tadej Pogačar shook off the chasing pack. He attacked up the closing climb with a clear lead. Jonas Vingegaard pulled in following, slightly behind the pace. At this point the race moves into the Alps. Stage seven begins right after that hard climb.
